Credentialing
National program certifications and end-of course testing will continue to be a major emphasis in Family and Consumer Sciences. Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education and Hospitality use end of course assessments through NOCTI. Culinary Arts also offers credentialing through ACCESS or ProStart. Senate Bill 950 (Financial Literacy) directed the Virginia Board of Education to establish objectives for economics education and financial literacy to be required of all students at the middle and high school levels.
